Day 12: Dolphins!!!

Today we had to be up super early to be at the Bunbury Dolphin Discovery Centre because....we swam with Dolphins!
Now I'll say first off that it was really important to me that this was an activity which didn't exploit the dolphins. They were in their natural habitat and the tour was a not for profit research group led by an incredible Dutch lady called Yvette. Part of each days boat trip was dedicated to research, photographing the Dolphins fins and observing their behavior

I've been a bit behind on updating this page as there is a load of dolphin footage that I need to splice together. And in all honestly I still need to do that. But here are some fun pics and videos from the morning:

Andy stayed on the boat for the final swim and took photos. On this one I'm face down in the water with my snorkel!

Here's some flattering footage (not) of me getting back on the boat

It was honestly the most incredible experience. I think we entered the water 5 times. At one point 4 dolphins swam right under us.

After that we had some lunch at the dolphin centre then just had a lovely chilled out beach day in Bunbury

There was a gift shop at the Dolphin Discovery Centre and this is where I bought the 100% best thing I've bought in Australia:

We then went out to eat at a fairly disappointing restaurant in Bunbury but it did mean we had the opportunity to see our last Bunbury sunset and get some pics on the iconic bridge that we walked over every day

And then back to the van for our last night sleeping in the van - half sad half relieved!
