Day 18: Last Day in Australia
Here is is - our last day in Oz. Our cases are packed - feeling a bit sad but we have had an amazing time.
First of all though we needed to have our last Australian breakfast at Cos Baby - which has been our fave in Fremantle
We had booked on a walking tour which really we should have done on the first day in Fremantle! It was really interesting and we saw lots of the city that we hadn't come across
A couple for more explanation:
Gruesomely this was apparently the whaling tunnel so they would drag the whales down here to the town after they had been harpooned
And we also saw an online database of convicts who had arrived in Fremantle. There were no Redmaynes but there were 2 McConnells:
The tour ended at the Roundhouse which is the oldest structure in Fremantle. It was a lovely outlook so we asked the tour guide to take a pic
The tour ended there but we went to explore the roundhouse further. I had the opportunity to get put in the stocks
Andy was guilty of all kinds of offences:
And I got to ring a bell for some reason 🤷🏻♀️
We went for a last meal tonight back to Vin Populi, then to kill some time went on the big wheel.
Now in hotel room with everything packed up with exactly an hour to wait before our Uber takes us to the airport
Thank you for following our Redmayne Adventures! We hope you enjoyed sharing this journey with us.
